OUR DAILY RED

Practice makes perfect they say, and Our Daily Red has been
in production since 1998. The wine is an extremely hot seller and we keep increasing production each year to meet the skyrocketing
demand!
Ongoing vintages have added a healthy percentage (30%) of Mendocino grapes which bring the leaner mouth feel
and more focused flavors of the region to the mix. A blend of Fresno Syrah and Carignan and Mendocino Cabernet Sauvignon,
this wine should age well for a few years...if it lasts.
COTE ZERO
California, Sulfite Free, Organic
Every time we taste this wine from the tank, we think of Pinot Noir, which is odd as there is none in the
blend. Cote Zero is a composite of Grenache, Syrah,and a bit of Viogner to round out the Rhone backbone. The mellowest of
the line, this should make for a great summer quaffing wine.
Like many Pinot Noirs, this wine can have the tendency to drop a light sediment. You can stand it upright
for a day or two and decant, or just enjoy the hors d'oeuvres in every glass.
LODI SYRAH
Sulfite Free, Organic
The 2001 syrah from this vineyard won "Wine Of The
Week" from the Santa Rosa Press Democrat, based on a blind tasting of ten different wines, whether those wines came from the
"Organic Wine" or "Wine made from Organic Grapes" categories. It was the least expensive wine of the 10, and rated higher
than Bonterra Cabernet and a well known Sonoma $40 zinfandel. This vineyard has unfolded over the years to produce a typical
northern Rhone style Syrah-- solid color, nose and body, with earth and subtle pepper notes sprinkled throughout. What you
won't find is an over-the-top sugar added "Aussie Fruit Bomb", and as such this is a wine you can enjoy to the bottom of the
bottle and is great with oily foods.
MERLOT
California, Sulfite Free, Organic
A blend of about half Santa Maria Merlot with Mendocino Merlot and Cabernet,
this wine has the richest feel of any Orleans Hill wine. Santa Maria brings the power and Mendocino the style. A bit of french
oak exposure rounds out the mouth and feel-- again styling a wine that should please the multitude of Merlot drinkers looking
for a bolder medium bodied red with pleasant cherry fruit notes covering the whole palate.
AMADOR ZINFANDEL
Sulfite Free, Organic
Clockspring Vineyard in Amador gives us this unique Zin!!! One will find a wine
that intersperses white pepper on the tongue with a medium weighted body-- a very adaptable wine that can be can be enjoyed
with all types of food or on its own. This is not a high alcohol, prune and jam job most often associated with this region.
VIOGNIER
Organically Grown Grapes
Most California wineries make a Viognier like they style chardonnay-- big, oaky,
clumsy, and non-distinctive.
Our Viognier is more along the styling of an Italian Pinot Grigio, crisp, dry and non-oaked
with a kiss of CO2 left over from primary fermentation. This keeps the alluring melon and floral aromas in the forefront and
makes a wine which is great summer quaffing or with light fare.
